Poll: Have You Started Working On Christmas Yet?

Posted by Scott McClellan on October 12th, 2009 at 10:17 am

For those of you on staff at local churches, the holiday season means that you’ve got some hard work ahead of you. I’ve been talking to some creative people at some creative churches about what they’re working on for Christmas, and that got me wondering — how many of you are already working on Christmas stuff? If you have a second, tell us where you’re at:

Have you started working on your Christmas service yet?

I'm a volunteer so I'm not exactly 'intimate' with the timeline. I do know we've done some brainstorming and are narrowing those ideas to choose what elements will make up the story we want to present. And our big Christmas service happens weeks before Christmas. :)

We start working on Christmas music in September, we got a bit of a late start this year because we were waiting on books…worth the wait! We are doing "Gloria!" by Bradley Knight – it's awesome!

I'm not on staff at a church, but I'm working on an Advent podcast series, and I'm involving other Christian friends I've made while in Kansas City in the project. So, the project is for the church, just not a body that has a 501c3.
