Upfront Week In Review - 7/11/08
It’s Friday 7/11! In honor of today’s date I think I’ll go get a Slurpee from 7/11. And while some of you may have been waiting in line all night or morning to get your new iPhone 3G, we have been putting together this week’s Week In Review.
- Cynthia Ware interviews our very own Barton Damer, graphic design extraordinaire.
- This past weekend Christian band Delirious called it quits. It’s an end to an era. I am honestly saddened.
- The iPhone 3G is out and Engadget has your review. However, is your church ready?
- If you love popping bubble-wrap, then this calendar is for you.
- Here’s some great advice for those that run ProPresenter.
- LifeChurch.tv has posted a video of their new church environment for a series called “At the Movies.”
- Derek Webb’s free music venture, NoiseTrade.com, is up and running. Did I mention that it’s FREE music sharing and it’s legal?
- Hungry? Make a popcorn popper out of a USB drive. I do doubt that this is real though.
- It looks like Americans are watching more TV than ever. So go outside and do something!
- The Bible has made its way onto the iPhone. It’ll cost ya a bit, but hey, it’s the Bible!
- Our friends at XXXchurch are starting a church in Vegas in 2009.
- Tim Stevens is going to the ECHO conference. Are you? All of your favorite COLLIDE staff will be there!
Honorable Rejects:
- It looks like the robot uprising is happening and even pandas aren’t going to be spared!
- The least intimidating S.W.A.T. team I’ve ever seen.
Have a great weekend! And don’t forget to keep an eye on those robots. They’ll attack when you’re least expecting!

How can you say the Bible is expensive when the best Bible application is produced by Lifechurch.tv?
And the best thing is it’s free…
I smell a write up in the next Collide magazine on youversion.com
Also what about how Youversion.com is making advances for viewing the Bible as a conversation, using contributions towards discussing, and exploring the Bible.
Hope to see more about youversion.com in the future :)
