Upfront Week In Review - 7/25/08
Grab your 3D glasses and journey with me as we take a look at this Week in Review…
(not actually in 3D)
- This weekend the Dark Knight set new box office records, with no surprise.
- Craig Detweiler asks if The Dark Knight is the film of the decade.
- Make a great movie(The Dark Knight) and people will come see it, despite the economy.
- A new kind of advertising might be on its way to subway goers. I bet it smells delicious.
- Land Rover created an amazing work of art that sends off mixed messages.
- TechCrunch is determined to build a $200 web tablet. Yes, please. But wait, could a possible MacBook Touch be coming soon? Take that TechCrunch!
- Smashing Magazine shares insight on design decisions.
- The ultimate sermon-illustration-gone-wrong involves a dirt bike and pain.
- Fireproof, the new movie from those who brought you Facing the Giants, gets reviewed.
- Google.org is helping fund a car that gets 230 mpg! Sadly it’s not in production yet (nor will it probably ever be.)
- It’s official, all 6 Star Wars movies are being re-released in 3D. Now you can see Star Wars again with goofy glasses on that will give you a headache.
Honorable Reject:
- The hoverboard from Back to the Future is up for auction on eBay, for $30k. Too bad it actually doesn’t work.
